At Trellis, we invest in relationships—our families, our team, our partners, and our community.

We pour everything we have into these relationships because trust is the foundation of every worthwhile connection.

Our commitment to improving Southeast Idaho for future generations is the force behind our track record of financially successful local projects.

Bron Leatham

Chief Executive Officer

Born and raised as a fourth-generation resident of Rexburg, Bron appreciates the opportunities and lifestyle that are unique to Southeast Idaho. He graduated from Madison High School, served a Church mission, and then graduated from the Accounting program at BYU in Provo. He began his career in Chicago, first as an Analyst with BP Amoco, and then as a Strategy Consultant with Monitor Group.   The next ten years would lead him into a life’s work that would bring him great satisfaction and would enable him to use his passion for design, development and construction. Starting in California where he learned the business of Land Acquisition and Entitlements for large master-planned communities in Sacramento, then on to Texas where he continued his work in Land Development and partnered with a custom home builder to develop custom home properties in the Texas Hill Country. Additionally, he started a turnkey Commercial Real Estate development and construction company, Stadler & Leatham Development.   In 2012, he had the opportunity to acquire a business from his father and father’s partner back in Rexburg.  Fulfilling a long desire to return home, he took the helm at Cedarpoint Trucking and began building a management team with partners to help this local business continue to grow. By 2016, he was able to start Leatham Development as a local in his hometown, something he never imagined would be possible. In March of 2022, a new partnership with Scott Page enabled the company to now general contract its projects in-house. Within a couple of short years, Bron and Scott have expanded the company into retail, office, and light industrial flex space. By collaborating with local businesses and investors, they have created local projects to enhance their community. Bron’s greatest achievement is his marriage to his faithful wife Wendy. With 6 daughters and 2 sons, their life is full and rewarding. They enjoy spending time with their children, especially in the beautiful mountains of Idaho and Montana.

Jake Thomposn

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Jake’s greatest joy is his family — his wonderful wife Hannah, son Charles, and daughter Heidi. Together they love spending time outdoors and exploring the beautiful mountains of Idaho and Montana. A fourth-generation Rigby native, Jake was born and raised in Rigby, Idaho, and graduated from Rigby High School. He later served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an experience that deeply shaped his outlook on service, leadership, and faith. As Chief Development Officer at Trellis Development, Jake leads acquisition, strategy, and execution across the company’s expanding East Idaho portfolio. He focuses on attracting and supporting new businesses through lease and sale negotiations, raising capital, and maintaining the financial integrity of every project. His passion lies in helping local companies find the right space to grow while bringing new businesses that strengthen the community. Before joining Trellis, Jake served as CEO of Cedarpoint Trucking in Rexburg, where he led the company’s successful transition toward sustainable, heavy-haul operations. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Marketing at Bish’s RV in Boise, helping expand the company from 10 to 23 locations nationwide and launching Go Play RV, one of the top-selling travel trailers in the region. Earlier in his career, Jake spent nearly a decade with Michelin in Greenville, South Carolina, where he directed global marketing for BFGoodrich—leading partnerships with Red Bull Media, the World Surf League, and other major global brands. His entrepreneurial journey began at The Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, Montana, where he helped grow one of the region’s most beloved attractions. Jake holds an MBA from Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business, where he served as President of the MBA Marketing Association, and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Brigham Young University–Idaho.
